HANNAH WHATLEY
Hannah Whatley is an art director, a mom, and a determined creative with a bold approach to both life and design. She enjoys disrupting the status quo and hopes to cut through some of the white noise in the advertising world by producing distinctive work that makes people feel something. Observing and experiencing society, art, and culture has strengthened her ability to connect with people which will support the uniqueness of her future clients and their target audience.
Hannah’s passion for juxtaposition and finding alternative executions for an idea lead her to the Academy of Art University 2023 Spring Show where she won awards for her Anti-Electric campaign for LiveWire One Electric Motorcycles and her Humanized campaign for Purina Training Treats. Both pushed her to explore personal connections, further develop her fine art and digital skills, and strategically manipulate the latest AI software. She challenged herself and ultimately succeeded because creative tension inspires her and she thrives in environments where she needs to be adaptable.
In addition to excelling at AAU, Hannah stands apart by honing her skills and running her own creative business. She combines fine art and fashion to design pieces that mix unlikely mediums, display humorous controversy, and play on pop culture. Practicing her creative skills in all aspects of life helps her bring authenticity into her work as an art director. Her goal is to work in a collaborative environment with visionaries of different perspectives and approaches. She’s ready to make herself known.
